We replaced a 2004 D Link wireless router that worked fine until moving from a Condo to a House. The signal was so bad, that it wouldn't reach past one room, even when coupled with a repeater!
This access point is the Mac Daddy of wireless access points. WOW. We went from no signal in the next room to 5 bars anywhere in the house. The access point was fairly easy to set up compared to other access points I've worked with lately. A detailed instruction manual is included, and though it is somewhat generic, it is far superior than directions included with other access points.
Setting up the SSID is a bid different than some traditional access points, but once we figured that out, things were easy. When we changed the setting to AP Router, the settings somewhat blew up, but since the device isn't actually a router, it wasn't important. We just reset the device and kept it set as an access point.
Definitely a fan!!!!
